Plaintiff was riding on State Route 58 when he crossed over debris and crashed sustaining numerous injuries. Plaintiff alleged CalTrans failed to clean roadside area after trimming Sycamore trees near the accident scene. State argued tree trimming had occurred but was far away from accident scene location and that State lacked notice of any dangerous condition. Court denied Motion for Summary Judgment by State and apportioned 25% comparative fault against Plaintiff. Total verdict of $214,898.93 before reduction for comparative fault. Costs of $5,872.00 also awarded as part of net verdict.
