Plaintiff performed construction services on multiple job sites for Defendant and sued to recover monies owed on multiple jobs. Defendant cross-complained alleging that Plaintiff did not have adequate state licensing to perform the work services in violation of Business and Professions Code Section 7031; and that, Plaintiff ‘s accounting of work performed was greatly erroneous,  resulting in overcharges and excessive billing. Multiple attempts were made by both sides to resolve the dispute pre-litigation without success.
